It is said that my fascination with all-things-hair was clear from the tender age of 4 years-old, when I set-up shop in the living room of my parents’ home in Ireland. Some of my fondest early memories are of pretending to create the hair-do’s of family, neighbors, and all of my dolls!

At 9 years-old, I watched a documentary about The Vidal Sassoon Academy. I’d never heard of an Academy like this before and was captivated. I knew then that I would work for that company someday. A few years later, I completed my vardering program and becoming a Vidal Sassoon Stylist

Since then, I've continued to grow and have worked with a broad array of hair companies and artists. While always striving to learn, encourage and teach wherever I can; from modest, neighborhood shops to the excitement of working behind the chair for notable companies including Vidal Sassoon, Tony + Guy, and Bumble and bumble. 

My close involvement with worldwide hair industry leaders shows through a unique mix of cutting techniques. From precision scissor cutting of a graduated bob to the creative freedom of the straight edge razor, I cut with a collection of techniques that some have said makes my work distinguishable, exciting and refined.

I've worked in salon and toured as a lead educator with the Bumble and bumble team. Also worked the backstages at New York Fashion Weeks with James Pecis and Kien Hoang from the Oribe Pro Team. Some of those highlights include shows for Betsy Johnson, Cynthia Rowley, R17, Nicole Miller and The Blonds, among others.

I am honored to be able to work as an educator with the Oribe team. Sharing their philosophy about the importance of love, and elevating others we may meet along our paths. My love for education, and my call to be of service through education, helps me continue to grow as person, a teacher and an artist.

I'm very excited to have realized a long-time dream of opening salon:troy, in Troy, NY... a city that inspires with its cultural diversity and dazzles with its thriving artistic community.

My vision for salon:troy is to create an open, caring environment that fosters individual creativity and self-expression. salon:troy brings to “The Collar City” exceptional, world-class hair work in a smart and stylish environment.
